Christmas Playlist – 2019 Edition

It’s been a few months… and honestly I have no idea how that happened.  I’ve just been busy with, well, life I suppose.  That happens though.  In any case, I hope you all have been having a good few months and a good start to the holiday season!

A couple years ago I shared a Christmas playlist, and while I still listen to my favorites, I have added a few more to my list with the release of new music in the past two years.  And what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than with a good playlist?

Maybe it’ll motivate me to get the rest of my shopping done earlier than usual!

Christmas PLAYLIST – 2019 EDITION

That’s Christmas To Me – Pentatonix

I adore this song (and video) so much.  This group is just amazing.

Chillin’ Like a Snowman – Sofia Carson

A parody of her song off Descendants 2, Chillin’ Like a Villain, this is a fun and upbeat song to listen to along with all the other Christmas songs.

White Christmas – Lea Michele (feat. Darren Criss)

Glee fans everywhere are screeching with these two reunited to sing this holiday classic.  And of course, they do a great job!

O Come, All Ye Faithful – Pentatonix

I love the tribal feel they give to the song.  It’s so catchy!

Silent Night Medley – Hanson

Greatest Time of Year – Aly & AJ

I love kicking it back to 2006 with this song by Aly & AJ.  It’s not a classic by any means, but it’s another fun song to listen to while you’re wrapping up presents or Christmas shopping.

Mary Did You Know? – Pentatonix

UGH!  They are just amazing on this one!

O Holy Night – *N Sync (also versions by Glee Cast and Lea Michele)

I am in love with *N Sync’s a cappella version of this song because it’s acapella so there’s no music in the background to distract you.  However, Lea Michele’s version is fantastic and what a voice she has!

Last Christmas – WHAM! (also versions by Hilary Duff, Glee Cast, and Good Charlotte)

This year I’ve been jamming to Good Charlotte’s version.  I hadn’t even realized they covered this song, but I love it.   I personally think it’s a pretty good cover!

All I Want For Christmas Is You – The Girl and the Dreamcatcher

I can’t even say I’m sorry that I prefer this version over Mariah Carey’s.  Though Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan are done, they are adorable in this video and you cannot deny it.

The Little Drummer Boy – Pentatonix

Why are they so good????

You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch – Jim Carrey (and PTX)

A)  I love this movie.

B) I love Jim Carrey singing this song!

C) Pentatonix’s new release is amazing!

Blue Christmas – Michael Bublé

Probably my favorite version of this song.  I’m not even apologizing for it.

Carol of the Bells

Chilling, right?

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays – *N Sync

A fun holiday song for all to enjoy!  I also love the cover of this song done by Pentatonix (duh).

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen – MercyMe (and yes, Pentatonix again)

The MercyMe version of this song just gives me chills and I mean, just listen to the Pentatonix version.  Listen to it!!

Where Are You Christmas? – Pentatonix

WHY ARE THEY SO GOOD AT CHRISTMAS MUSIC????

I realize there’s a lot of Pentatonix on my list, but come on… they’re basically the masters of Christmas music at this point.  They just dominate every song they tackle.

And other than these songs, there are the classic songs from the movies – Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Holly Jolly Christmas – as well as the actual classics – Joy to the World, Baby It’s Cold Outside, and more.

Like, a lot more.

What songs have you been listening to for the Christmas season?

What a great playlist! Pentatonix are amazing with any song they do. I’m book marking this so I can listen a few at a time through the season.
Wishing you and your family blessings, love, fun, and peace for Christmas. :)
